Dentures and Partials

Why should I replace missing teeth?
If you’ve lost one or more teeth, you probably know how important they are to chewing, comfort, and self-esteem. Teeth support your cheeks, allowing for a full facial profile. Even one or two missing teeth can make you appear much older than you are. Additionally, missing teeth can cause:

For patients missing all of their teeth, Drs. Adriane and Jim Lippian create custom dentures. If you still have some healthy teeth remaining, the dentist may recommend a Valplast (metal-free) partial denture.

Dentures
Dentures are artificial teeth on a gum-colored base. They can be removable or implant-supported. Custom-made from modern acrylics, today’s dentures look natural and fit comfortably. Patients who wear dentures, should come in for regular checkups and have their dentures relined or replaced every 5 to 7 years.

Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are a few teeth on a gum-colored base. They fit with existing teeth like a puzzle piece. Partial dentures are typically secured with metal clasps. At our dental office, we recommend Valplast partials, which are made from strong, gum-colored plastics. Valplast partials are metal-free, which makes them more inconspicuous than traditional partials.
